Absolutely one of the best places in the world that I've gone to that specializes in cocktails. There is a variety of drinks on the menu but if you're feeling adventurous the bartenders can even make something if you give them a flavor profile for what you're looking for. As far as ambiance there's a few simple rules to follow that allow for you to have an enjoyable night out that allow you to appreciate the company that you're in.

Hop Sing is a favorite of mine and my husband's. This place is a hidden gem, where dressing proper for a night out and actually interacting with each other without a phone in your face is the norm, and frankly, quite refreshing. The rules aren't hard to follow and honestly, if you can't abide by them, you're simply an idiot. The inside ambiance is intimate and you hardly even notice any other patrons, as everyone inside is courteous and the music playlist is always entertaining. Lê is a pleasure to interact with each time we go and it's clear he values his staff and his well-behaved patrons. Be respectful, follow rules, don't be an inferior imbecile and you'll have one of the best nights of your life!

I love visiting speakeasies and while visiting Philly for the weekend, I came across an article in Conde Nest that's Hop Sing was one of the best. I first tried coming in March. Me and my friend came an hour before closing and was turned away but the owner gave us a recommendation to the karaoke bar around the corner. I came again this weekend, this time solo, well before closing. The experience did not let me down. Drinks were great, service was friendly, and the owner, Le, is charismatic. From the debrief before you enter, to Le remembering everyone's name I can't speak highly enough and can't wait to come back. Don't forget to bring cash!

Time here was amazing!! Cocktails were some of the best I've ever had, very creative and clean. A great and aesthetically pleasing place to spend quality time with people! Also very unique and attentive service, including Le, the owner. Highly recommend the Happy Buddha cocktail.

Hop sing is indescribable. An elegant and sophisticated bar, for cocktails after dinner in the heart of Chinatown. As long as you follow two simple rules that are covered before you enter the establishment, you will have a wonderful time. The place is sophisticated and dim light, creating an intimate environment. The drinks go from simple to creative, and are executed perfectly. I had a whiskey and honeydew cocktail and my partner had a very spicy gin cocktail that had you wishing for more. We can't wait to come back on either a casual night out, or to celebrate a special occasion. Our server Jonathan was polite, and able to explain everything clearly and well. We can't wait to come back thank you for having us!
